Body Butter

• Body butter made with unrefined shea and kokum, jojoba and vitamin E oils. Shea butter (Vitellaria paradoxa, formerly Butyrospermum parkii) benefits for skin include boosting skin moisture, anti-inflammatory properties to soothe skin irritation, and anti-oxidants which may improve and provide anti-aging properties.

Kokum butter (Garcinia indica), also known as red mangosteen or wild mangosteen, is non-comedogenic and has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that may help clear breakouts. Kokum butter may help manage skin oil secretions and may alleviate inflammation. Rich in fatty acids and proteins to potentially assist with skin elasticity. Abundant source of vitamins A and E. Kokum has a low scent profile and balances what can be a strong scent from shea. No additional fragrances are added.

Jojoba oil is known for being similar to natural sebum oils found in skin. It matches and calms oil production and may smooth dry skin, prevent flakiness or improve skin elasticity. Jojoba may assist with skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and rosacea. A small amount of vitamin E is also included in both formulations, adding anti-oxidant properties and may improve skin elasticity and improve blood supply to skin.

Formulations with colloidal oatmeal benefit from the lightly exfoliant properties and the soothing properties of oatmeal. Sensitive skin may be calmed and soothed by anti-inflammatory properties.

Can be used anytime to restore moisture and nutrients to skin. Best used within five minutes of exiting shower or bath for optimal absorption. Skin can feel smoother and softer with regular use due to fatty acids and vitamins inherent in the ingredients!
