Use black walnut cleansing spray for potential protection of skin. A tincture made from the green hulls of black walnut is the essential component of this topical spray with antioxidant, antitumor, and antibacterial properties. Once harvested the green hulls are soaked for four to six weeks to pull all their potent compounds into the tincture. The black walnut cleansing spray created with this extract discourages unwanted microbial visitors. It is an effective way to clean cleans when soap and water are not available.
The hulls are used in traditional herbalism for high tannin content and iodine levels. Black walnut contains high concentrations of chemicals called tannins, which can reduce pain and swelling and dry up body fluids such as mucous. Tannins may promote wound healing. The scent of black walnut may also assist with repelling mosquitoes.
Can be used externally for topical treatment as anti-bacterial, similar to iodine use.
Not for use by individuals with nut or tree nut allergies.
